The process
Collect documents – Continue accounting in Odoo.
GetMyInvoices collects invoices from online portals, email inboxes, and other sources. The 4EGrowth Connector takes over documents and usable metadata in Odoo in a controlled manner. There, the documents are checked, validated, and processed further.
Collecting
GetMyInvoices consolidates incoming invoices from the configured sources.
Assign and pre-account
The connector uses stored IDs and mappings for suppliers, taxes, expense accounts, and tags.
Check and book
The prepared documents are professionally checked, validated, and then booked in Odoo.
Functionality
Which information arrives in Odoo.
The specific scope depends on the data available in GetMyInvoices and the configured mapping. The transfer uses fixed assignments so that recurring documents can be consistently prepared.
GetMyInvoices provides an API through which invoices and invoice data can be retrieved. You can find more about this in the official API description.
- Invoice document and attachments
- Supplier or Odoo contact via ID assignment
- Invoice number, date, due date, amount, and currency
- Tax assignment based on the agreed mapping
- Expense account as preliminary accounting
- Adoption and assignment of the used tags
- Synchronization and processing status
Clean delineation
No invoice items in the standard import.
Document header instead of invoice lines
The current connector does not import individual invoice items. If an invoice contains items with different tax rates, they will not be automatically split line by line in Odoo.
Why we consciously limit here
Item recognition is an additional feature in GetMyInvoices. In practice, deviations can occur. For a reliable standard process, we therefore focus on document, header data, and the agreed preliminary accounting.
Preparation in GetMyInvoices
Four fundamentals for a stable import.
The quality of the Odoo process begins with the setup of GetMyInvoices. The cleaner the sources, master data, and rules are maintained, the more reliably assignment and preliminary accounting function.
Fully connect document sources
Set up relevant portals and mailboxes and regularly check for interrupted access.
Consistently maintain suppliers and tags
Clear supplier information and a coordinated tag system create the basis for mapping.
Test tax cases in advance
Include typical invoices, credit notes, currencies, and documents with multiple tax rates in a test inventory.
Define review responsibility
Clarify who checks imported documents, processes discrepancies, and triggers validation in Odoo.
Frequently Asked Questions
GetMyInvoices and Odoo.
Are only PDF files transferred?
In addition to the document, available header data and mapping information are processed. This may include, among other things, supplier, invoice data, tax, expense account, and tags.
How is the supplier found in Odoo?
The assignment is done via stored IDs. This allows a GetMyInvoices supplier to be uniquely assigned to the corresponding Odoo contact.
Are invoices automatically pre-accounted?
Yes. Through mapping, taxes and expense accounts can be prepared for pre-accounting. The document must still be professionally reviewed afterward.
Are individual invoice lines imported?
No, invoice lines are not included in the current standard import. Different tax rates within an invoice are therefore not automatically split by line.
Does GetMyInvoices replace Odoo accounting?
No. GetMyInvoices collects and structures documents. The professional review, validation, and accounting processing take place in Odoo.
